What is Motability?

The Motability Scheme is run by the not-for-profit organisation Motability on behalf of the government. It provides financial help for disabled people receiving the higher rate of the mobility component of the Disabled Living Allowance (DLA) to be able to own or lease a vehicle.

Motability Eligibility

Anyone who is eligible for the Motability Scheme may apply. If successful, financial assistance may be awarded towards the cost of the advance payment, special adaptations to the car or even for driving lessons.

Application Form

You will need to complete an Application for Financial Help form. Call Motability Customer Helpline on 0845 456 4566 and they will send you one. Alternatively visit their website at www.motability.co.uk where you can complete a Further Information request form.
