You love the deep shine of your car's bodywork
when it's new. But how long will it stay that way?
Modern cars have to endure continual bombardment not just by the elements but
road salt, detergent, industrial chemicals and even bird droppings! All of
these forces contribute to damaged and dull paintwork.
Simply washing and polishing your car once a week will not protect it against
all these abrasives.
Car manufacturers are now forced to use water-based paints which, although are
much more environmentally friendly, are less durable than previous paints used.
The problem with modern wax polishes is that they are not durable. Each time you
wash your car with detergent you wash away a layer of protection.
