Comprehensive Used Car History Check
Checking for hidden surprises
There are lots of risks attached to buying a used car. A vehicle can look very
attractive from the outside but a number of nasty surprises can be lurking in
its past history.
Outstanding Car Finance?
This is the biggest risk attached to buying a used car. In fact, 24% of all
vehicles checked by HPI turn out to be subject to a finance agreement. If the
loan is not settled prior to you buying the car then you will not receive full
title to the vehicle neither will you be protected by the Sale of Goods Act
(1979).
Insurance Write-off?
If, following an accident, a car is deemed by its insurers as uneconomical to
repair it should be scrapped. However, many of these insurance write-offs turn
up on the streets again.
Stolen Vehicle?
Many car deals that seem too good to be true turn out to be stolen vehicles. The
unsuspecting buyer ends up losing his money when the car is returned to its
rightful owner.
Mileage Clocked?
Winding back the mileage reading on a car is a serious offence but it still goes
on. HPI has 85 million mileage readings on its database allowing us to
confidently supply you a vehicle with no discrepancy.
Illegally Cloned?
A cloned vehicle is one that has illegally assumed the identity of another
legitimate car. This is to disguise the fact that it is stolen.
All these potential pitfalls can be avoided.
That's why at Nu-Car, we get HPI to check into the history of every car we sell.
